Kim Lane

Kim Lane strives to reduce barriers to entry for entrepreneurs, makers and innovators. She serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Conductor (www.ARConductor.org), an initiative that provides entrepreneurial support through consulting, mentorship, access to capital, and maker training and rapid prototyping in a free-of-charge Makerspace. She is the founder of Kim Lane Co., where she provides thought leadership as a consultant for Facebook, Inc., and serves as a consultant for the Kauffman Foundation, managing all of the 1 Million Cups chapters in a 5-state region of the US. She advocates for innovation and entrepreneurship around the world, and served as a US Delegate to the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in Istanbul in 2018; and Johannesburg, South Africa in 2017. Additionally, she serves as a Senior Advisor for the Global Entrepreneurship Network, mentoring communities around the world on startup ecosystem building. She founded Global Entrepreneurship Week AR and Startup Grind AR.

Previously, Kim was the Director of Operations at the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub. She also served as the inaugural Digital Director and Online Editor of Arkansas Money & Politics magazine, and as an Editor for Brit + Co, a San Francisco-based digital media company.

Kim was named Conway's Young Business Leader of the Year in 2019. She was named “Arkansan of the Year” by Arkansas Life magazine in 2018. She is an Arkansas Business “40 Under 40” honoree, and was named a finalist among the world’s top “Startup Champions” by the Global Entrepreneurship Network. Additionally, she was named to the Arkansas Times’ list of “Visionary Arkansans” for her work inspiring entrepreneurs and “thinking bigger.”

Kim is a graduate of the Leadership Arkansas program, and serves as the President of Class XII. She serves on the boards of Junior Achievement of Arkansas, the Arkansas Fellowship, and Global Ties Arkansas. Kim is an alumna of Hendrix College. She makes her home in Conway, Arkansas.
