Erika Herz
University of Virginia, Darden School of Business Director of Research and Intellectual Capital, Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Erika is Director of Research and Intellectual Capital at the Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the UVA Darden School of Business. She is responsible for research programs and academic conferences, related publications for academic and business audiences, and major events such as the Jefferson Innovation Summit and the Global Innovators’ Roundtable. She is also a host of the Research and Relevance podcast series on entrepreneurship and innovation research.
Erika was formerly the Associate Director of Sustainability Programs at Darden, and Managing Director of the Alliance for Research on Corporate Sustainability (ARCS), a 22-university consortium. Before Darden, Erika worked at UTC Power, a business unit of United Technologies Corporation, as the sustainability manager.
Erika holds a B.A. from Wellesley College and an MBA from the Darden School of Business. She is a graduate of Charlottesville’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence Board Development Academy and has served on the boards of Better World Betty and the Greer Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization.
