Chip Dicks

John G. "Chip" Dicks, Partner at Gentry Locke, served as an elected member of the Virginia General Assembly during the 1980's. Since leaving the Legislature, Chip has represented associations and businesses on administrative, legislative and regulatory matters before state government agencies and the General Assembly.

Chip has decades of experience with a strong and successful practice in the following law practice areas: public and government affairs; digital and trusted information services; economic development; outdoor advertising; commercial real estate; land use and zoning; complex financing including tax exempt financing; and landlord-tenant and property management.

Chip is part of Gentry Locke's new Richmond Office in the Suntrust Building downtown. Chip's areas of practice include government and regulatory affairs including lobbying the General Assembly, zoning and real estate law, outdoor advertising law and representing solar developers. Chip also helps clients put together complex financing infrastructure deals.
