Clare Terni
Ten Course Hospitality
Clare Terni is a noted local glutton and drunkard. She has a keen interest in Southern foodways and the politics of American food. When she is not teaching anthropology at James Madison University, you can find her staring into the abyss of Facebook advertising algorithms, coercing her Whiskey Jar coworkers into awkward social media photographs, and zealously tasting wine on behalf of the Whiskey Jar bar program. Student evaluations, the Yelp of academia, herald her as “crazy but in a good way” and “deafeningly honest.”
