CELEBRATING STUDENT-DRIVEN LEARNING
Students and educators from across Virginia assemble for a day-long celebration of student creativity, innovation, and passion. The Youth Innovation Conference inspires high school students to take charge of their education by pursuing their interests and ideas.
For the 4th year, hundreds of students and educators will assemble in The Paramount Theater for a morning of ideas and inspiration. In the afternoon, students and educators will convene for the Makerville Project Expo, an expanded showcase of student work. More details will be announced soon!
Social Innovation Challenge: Students present problem statements and proposed social innovations with the opportunity to receive mini-grant funding to support their work.
Business Pitch Competition: Student elevator pitches about their entrepreneurial ventures, compete for cash prizes, mentorship, and preferred applications to the iLab incubator at UVA.
Reinventing Middle School Challenge: Students present bold ideas to redesign the American middle school and help fuel conversation to reinvent middle school nationwide.
