Part of the Community Workshop Series

Participatory Budgeting (PB) is becoming an increasingly popular form of direct democracy allowing communities greater control in managing budgets and inspiring change. In the fall of 2018, Walker Upper Elementary School in Charlottesville, VA piloted #PBatWalker.
Program designer, Serena Gruia, will discuss the experience of #PBatWalker revealing how this design thinking-based program fostered compassion, understanding, creativity, critical thinking, and student voice as students designed projects to improve their school experience. Learn more about #PBatWalker in advance of the workshop here: http://www.pbatwalker.com

You need this ticket from Eventbrite to sign up: Free Festival Pass.
